Dear Friends:

Since the start of my Get Green Columbus initiative in 2005, I've been amazed by the creativity and willingness with which so many people have contributed to making our city a greener place to live, work, and raise a family.

Together, we've made incredible progress in protecting our environment, encouraging green jobs and construction, and setting a positive example for other communities.

But more than anything else we've accomplished so far, I am most excited about the launch of GreenSpot. Because I truly believe Columbus is ready for it. I know this because I watched the groundswell of interest in green happen. I witnessed just a few calls a week from residents wanting to know more about green turn into many–more than we could possibly answer. And I believe GreenSpot is exactly the answer our city has been looking for.

My hope is that GreenSpot will become the place where we all go to learn more about being green–and are inspired to take small steps that, together, add up to a big impact. And I thank the Green Team and Leadership Columbus for helping to make this possible.
